It’s almost fall!! As you all know, we began planning for the annual Harvest Festival back in June, and we are so excited for this year’s festival that is held each year on the third Saturday in October. The 2026 Donalsonville/Seminole County Harvest Festival is set for October 17th, 2026, and will have the same new (old) layout as last year’s event! Wiley Avenue (between First and Second Streets) will feature a wide variety of children’s activities and games. West Second Street will be lined with arts & crafts vendors, offering unique handmade goods and local artistry. Food vendors will be conveniently located in the parking lot between the Post Office and Three Notch, and live entertainment from Persnickety Studios, SCCA Twirlers, and featured entertainer Dylan Kelley will be at the gazebo in City Park.
This year, the parade route and lineup will follow that of the Spirit of Christmas parade. Lineup will now begin at 6th St., then turn up Woolfork Ave, then on to 5th Street, then up Wiley Ave., and ends at E. 2nd Street. The parade ending on 2nd Street gives spectators the perfect opportunity to enjoy the parade as it winds through the heart of downtown. While you’re waiting for the parade to roll through, we encourage you to explore and support our wonderful downtown businesses — do a little shopping, and soak in the festive atmosphere. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on October 17th, 2026, and make this year’s Harvest Festival one to remember.
Festival planning may be keeping us busy, but there’s also a lot happening behind the scenes at the Chamber! We’ve been working on several exciting projects and new ideas for our community, with more to be announced soon! One project we’re especially excited about is our new Seminole County T-shirts! When creating the design, we wanted to capture everything that makes Donalsonville and Seminole County such a special place to call home. The design brings together many of the places, traditions, and pieces of our heritage that help tell our community’s story, including our historic Courthouse and Downtown Donalsonville, beautiful Lake Seminole, Iron City and the iconic Spooner Oak, our rich agricultural heritage, and, of course, the Chamber’s two signature events—the Donalsonville/Seminole County Harvest Festival and the Donalsonville/Seminole County Boots & Roots Rodeo. It’s more than just a T-shirt—it’s a little piece of Seminole County you can wear with pride! Our Comfort Colors tees are available in Khaki, Light Green, and Seafoam for $25 each, and we also have a limited number of youth sizes available in Seafoam. Stop by the Chamber, Roberts Pharmacy, Graceful Oaks, Othell’s, or Hartzog Pharmacy and grab yours while they’re available!
