On November 18th at the Lions Hall, the Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, Donalsonville Downtown Development Authority, and Economic Development Authority partnered to host an exclusive opportunity to help local business owners enhance their best practices at the Start Strong: Small Business Best Practices for 2025 class, hosted by the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (UGA SBDC).In this dynamic course taught by Nema Etheridge and Tonita McKnight of the UGA SBDC, participants explored common best practices employed by successful businesses. Best practices that were addressed included those for: social media, AI technologies, managing business finances, and developing relationships with lenders. By the end of the course, participants created a list of action items to increase sales, better understand their financials, and drive business success in 2025.15 registrants learned how to leverage no-cost marketing tools to enhance business visibility, identify financial statements preferred by lenders, calculate a break-even point, and build customer trust and loyalty through online & in-person interactions.
